1. God the Father sent Jesus Christ His Son to save us through His death and resurrection, and then the Holy Spirit to give us the will and the power to accomplish His purposes. “For God so loved the world that he have his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through him.” John 3:16&17 “…for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 2.  God commands us to worship Him and Him alone.  We worship the Creator and never the created. “You shall have no other gods before me.  You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God,…showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.”  Exodus 20:3-6 3.  God commands us to love him and serve his creation. “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness;  and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.’  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.’ And God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.’ And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”  Genesis 1:29-29 &31. 4.  Our mandate is to love strong, believe strong and forgive strong. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13 5.  God reveals Himself in His Word and His creation.  The Word is the final authority on what we believe and what we practice. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”  John 1:1-6 6.  We believe in the manifestations of the Holy Spirit as we are encouraged to do in the New Testament. “I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”  Mark 1:8, (the words of John the Baptist). 7.  The Great Commission that Jesus gave before He ascended is a two-fold process as to how we are to respond once we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior:  1.) Go and tell others about Him, and 2.) Make disciples of all nations.  “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I a with you always, to the close of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20 8.  We fulfill the great commission when we fulfill “the eleventh commandment”: to love God with all our hearts, minds, soul and strength, and love our neighbors as ourselves. “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all you soul, and with all your mind.  This is the great and first commandment.  And a second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.’”  Matthew 22:37-40 (the words of Jesus Christ). 9.  It is not enough to say, “God loves you.”  We believe His love must be demonstrated and acted out.  The world will know God loves them as we go out and serve in mission teams.  “Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. …faith apart from works is dead.”  James 2:18b & 26b What we believe: Love Strong, Believe Strong, Forgive Strong
