A Dose Of Hope
Bloom Where You’re Planted!
This was a lesson my father taught me. When I found myself in a desert place, not where I wanted to be, I remembered that I could either be bitter, depressed, discouraged, or I could bloom with hope.
Maybe God had planted me here because He needed me here. Could that be?
Or maybe He had planted me here because He had lessons He wanted me to learn here in the desert that I could not learn in the protection of a garden?

Regardless, I had a choice: wither up, shrivel up and feel sorry for myself…
OR I could bloom and in the process bring and also discover the beauty, hope, a lovely fragrance in the place He had planted me.
Perhaps you feel like you’ve been deserted in a place from which you’d like to escape: maybe a job situation, or a medical diagnosis, or familial conflict, or maybe you’re lonely.
I hope you can find encouragement from this lesson my father taught me: Bloom where you’re planted! You just might bring as well as find beauty in the process.
“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.” Isaiah 35:1
