A Dose Of Hope

Praise Praying

When bad things happen, especially unfair, unjust, or undeserved bad things, the temptation is to give in to PITY PRAYING.

Paul and Silas were battered, bruised, and thrown in prison undeservedly. If anyone had cause for pity praying it was Paul and Silas. Yet, it says in Acts 16:16-40 that at midnight they began to pray aloud and sing praise songs.

What happened next is that there was an earthquake, the foundations of the prison shook, the prison doors opened, their chains fell off. They were FREE! And the prison guard became saved as a result, he and his while family and household.

So, when you feel trapped:

In depression

In dead-end jobs

In loneliness

In poverty

In self-imposed limits, rather than pity praying, try PRAISE PRAYING!

PRAISE PRAYING!

Shakes the foundations of the prison!

PRAISE PRAYING!

Throws open the prison doors!

PRAISE PRAYING!

Loosens the chains!

PRAISE PRAYING!

Delivers! From persecution!

PRAISE PRAYING!

Delivers! From oppression!
