FRUS-STATION? Choose FUN-STATION!

Life can be frustrating!

A few days ago I found myself near the beach, looking for a parking lot, along with thousands of others. I had NOT counted on this! I had made a long drive to get to the only store within 45 minutes of my house to buy a gift for my husband’s birthday, and the closest parking space was nearly a mile away. And that was before standing in a long, long, line to buy a parking ticket!

I wasn’t happy to see this line! How could I get my husband a gift and still make another appointment on time? I wasn’t the only one frustrated. The father in front of me in the parking ticket line was sighing and grumbling with frustration. His 8 year-old daughter didn’t look too happy.

Rather than give in to FRUS-station, I chose to go to FUN-station and maybe take the father and little girl with me. I started to tell funny stories about my grandchildren.

The little girl smiled and even giggled. Her father relaxed significantly and we chatted and laughed. Before we knew it, we had our tickets. We had pulled out of FRUS-Station and were on our way to FUN-station.

Our situation hadn’t changed. Our attitude had!

Life is how you view it. A happy day is there for you, whether you see it or not.
